Default Boosted Sunglasses

Hi all....

Here'* the thing..I haven't had decent sunglasses in a while. Liked some Oakleys for a time.. but they are long gone.

I'll be making a trip across country and will need good glasses.

I'm open to suggestions.. Let'* keep it to informative, price and possible picture. Please don't make it a flaming or battle.. Merely looking for suggestions on what works good out there.

I'll add...my eyes are light sensative and many times, the darker or better light filtering the more I like them.

You know what, I have had expensive glasses previously. I do ALOT of driving, and I have been told by the optometrist that I have to have sun glasses on, otherwise I will get a headache. Anyhow, for the last few years, I have simply been getting those 10$ glasses you can pick up in the mall at those little booths. I don't worry if they get broken or lost since I usually keep more than one pair in the car just in case. You can easily find nice dark UV glasses. As for name brand, I don't really care what name is on them, and usually those 10$ have no name, lol.

the best pair of sunglasses I have owned were Serengeti'*. They don't distort color and can be worn at night. They are somewhat dated, so I picked up a pair of Oakleys. I keep them in the car in case I need them. I can send them to you to try.

when i'm waring my contacts insted of glasses I do the same thing too. i had a nive dark UV pair that i used in my Jeep when i had that and i loved em... i still ware them when out on the boat. and when i bust them up or drop them i don't have to worry about losing a pair of $150 glasses.

I agree, I had few nice pairs of Oaks but I find the 10- $20 knock offs are just as good. I find a pair I like I buy 2 0r 3 because I have a way of losing or breaking them.

My wife gets cripling migranes wich can be triggerred by driving in the bright sun and she has a pair of Panama Jacks she got at Walmart for $10 wich help greatly. They come in all shapes and sizes like the mall kiosk big name knockoffs.

There is no difference between the lens technology in name-brand glasses when compared to the $20 cheapies.

Go with a couple pairs of 20 buck cheapies and you'll be happy.

Hey Bill, I don't know if you saw the sunglasses I had in my compartment Saturday, but they're great. I drive into the sun every day to work and these are the only sunglasses I ever have liked. I'm pretty picky about sunglasses but these look and feel good, and they are nice and dark. They're CHAPS (by Ralph Lauren) and I got them for $10 at Marshalls
