We did something similar in the Army, except we used MRE heaters and water. Mix some tobasco sauce in and you have a nice tear gas bomb. You can clear a GP medium tent in about 10 seconds!

Five years ago I investigated an explosion that removed a mans hand, courtesy of a 2-liter plastic bottle and some dry ice. Not only did he loose his hand, he was convicted of making an explosive device and detonating the same in a residential area. Didn't get any jail time, but now has a felony conviction following him and his useless left hand around the rest of his life.

A neighbors kid was doing the clorox/aluminum variety and What an unstable untimable nightmare waiting to happen. If you want to hear boom! Take up hunting (Black Powder is a blast), or buy a model cannon. There are legal constructive ways to have pyrotechnical fun.

I had a Bangsite Cannon that would rattle windows in my house and bring the po- po out for a lookey- loo. I need to dig that bad boy up and shake up the neighbors.

Yeaahhhhhhh, I **** my neighbors off sometimes. They're glad I've only been back for a month and that I'm going to Korea.
