My friends all like that car because of the buttons and the room, and especially like the AL7'* "Hug" feature
my car buddies didn't think too highly of the Bonneville either, then one night I showed them all the goodies, the HUD and the Air Compressor in the back sold them
There is no way Guinevere is going to be sold, unless I screw up and she gets totaled. I don't plan on ever driving/owning anything but a Bonneville, except maybe one day I'll get me a '67 Cougar...when I inherit it from my dad... Bonnies have become my dream car, the coolest part is they are affordable...unlike say...a Ford GT

Funny thing about our cars being called "grandpa cars". My friend from school has a '96 GA GT with the 3100, and he thought my car was slow because it'* large. Well one night I went out with my dad and picked my friend up, and he wanted to see "how slow" it was. So I took him WAY out to a country road that no one lives on, and WOTed it from a dead stop up to 75. I looked over at him when I let off and I all I saw was two HUGE bug eyes. He looked over at me and said "HOLY **** this car is FAST! Is it modified???" I said "Not really, just a intake and a high flow cat." He swore all over that it was heavily modded.
Also, he could not believe how comfortable it was, all he did the whole way was play with the seat controls.

hah, yeah. I just saw one of my good friends for the first time since I got the 93. I had it sitting in the shade sparkling through the sunlight, he didn't recognize me in it! So I shout HEY! Got his attention and he got out of his car and said holy SHEET. new car? I'm like YEEP. Hes like it looks like your 98, but must be wayyy newer, I'm like, nope, this is a 93. His jaw DROPPED. Never really liked my 98, wasn't in the greatest condition, and now we're talkin about a mopar guy here, knows nothing else, drives nothing else, and he was just floored by this thing. So hes like what kinda power it got? like 120 hp? I'm like hah, no bud, unlike your LeBaron its 170 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque. Another jaw drop. Especially when I told him that it weighs what his LeBaron does. I think he wants a bonneville now. Almost sold him when I told him that this was actually slow compared to the SSEis with 205, 225 or 240 hp. Me thinks he might be getting into GMs now.
gotta love some fast movin granny car.
Edit: forgot to mention that he has been through 3 engines in 100k and is starting not to like that very much I told him that they run well into 300k plus with normal maintenance. He told me that NOT having to swap an engine every 33k just wouldn't feel normal.
