Not sure about the CG. The smoke and trails are very good. I also believe people like Ken Block and Travis Pastrana are capable of it.
According to Top Speed.com it is real:
We like a good commercial just as much as the next guy, but BMW’* latest commercial for the 1-Series M Coupe just about blew our collective minds. While other automakers are matching up their rides with their competitors, BMW has chosen to pit their coupe up against a long line of concrete walls. Don’t worry, the 1-Series M Coupe stays in one piece throughout the entire commercial, but the use of a professional driver and some mad drifting and driving skills, make this commercial a must see!
It’* difficult to explain and we don’t want to ruin the experience by spoiling the plot, but we promise it will leave you breathless. However, before anyone even watches it, make sure you understand that this is a professional driver and under no circumstances should anyone try this at home.
Only 450 of these are slated for production in 2012. Each made will have sequential numbering plates on the engine.

To watch some of Ken Blocks stuff like doing continuous donuts inches away from a moving Segway is awesome. It'* 3:10 minutes into this video.

those pro drifters practice the stunts a million times, and even in that video he took out some weeds and hit the wall. the bmw one you cant screw up or the car is done. all you would have to do is tape the driver and car and smoke and cg in the walls later.
plus i doubt those are actually cement walls, they could be drywall painted grey I mean whos gonna risk a car and a persons life for a commercial. I would say this is the case over cg.
