I would look to friends and or family that may have dealt with some good shops that may have a good reputation...

I'll make the assumption that the Van is at the dealership... Now I wonder if the head gaskets are really blown, of the the LIM gaskets are dead... A good compression test would reveal the truth... Not sure what to tell you on the shops to call..

Well I had to do this...

Do you even like the van? How about another Bonneville?

Sell the van to me. I have a L36 that'* been in my basement for 3 years. Maybe I can shoehorn it in there for my mom.

My thoughts as well. I will try to seek out a decent shop today.

The Van is the wifes and she can decide on any vehicle she would like to own. Another Bonneville has a slim to none chance.

Called a shop that I have done business with in the past and the cost will be somewhere between $1,500 and $2,000 for a full hed service and water pump if needed. I think the problem may be the water pump.

Whatever she wants is fine with me. Cody it is her vehicle to drive not mine. Just wait until you are married then you will understand.

Tom, I know that.

I just like throwing out useless suggestions.
