I blew mine off last weekend. They usually do it on a workday and pay you for the hours, but not this year.

And the beer was $3 a bottle.

actually there is. they give you a tickets for 2 free drinks.

Employers still throw Christmas parties?!?!!?

How about Bonuses? get those too? One company I worked at, at the end of the day when you were leaving, the boss would hand out $25 cash to everyone. The very next paycheck you got, it would be $25 less and show as a payroll advance. Some bonus huh?

Not a Xmas bonus, but a company performance bonus IF the company does well enough.

Mine was substantial this year, but as always, there are other expenses that suck it up quickly.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Never work for a non-profit orginization.

Ours was awesome!...always is. Free food, free booze, live bands (most years), free cab rides home if you need em. My office goes to great lengths to throw a good bash. Its to bad yours dont go to well.

Maybe the bigger the office the better?
