No, this isn't your everyday snowstorm. This is dangerous stuff.

That'* true. We're used to the everyday snow storm and lake effect snows around here. This is an unusual event. They're pulling bus service, and snow plows off rural roads, and closing the malls and other businesses. White out conditions is the norm right now.

I had to drive in this today too and it was horrible down here in the Kalamazoo area. 131 was shut down, so was I69! Some drifts on roads running north/south had over 1 foot drifts. There were a few times I thought I was going to wreck because of the huge drifts, and not being able to see in front of my car more than a few feet. People were STILL driving without their lights on too!!! IDIOTS! today, I found a really GREAT reason to have my rear fog lights on!!

Hey Sol....I feel your pain buddy! We're getting it too. Not too much snowfall, but the blowing and windchill is incredible. We're getting it off Lake Erie...couldn't see your hand in front of your face earlier. What makes it dangerous is that the cars get all snowcovered while driving.... you can't see them, even with the 4-ways on. A 25 min drive from Lockport took me 50mins. I was never so glad to see my garage...

Even driving to my g/f'* place which is a mile away on rural streets is a hassle.

Thank the car gods for new tires.

The snow stopped for now, but the roads are a sheet of ice.

We got about an inch of snow but it wasn't enough to let us stay home from work. It only lasted a day It sure was nice to see though.
