If your friend can fix anything for cheap...then get your car fixed? And about the wranglers.....get a stick with the 4 banger and 31x9.50'* on it and you got the best handling winter vehicle around....Just my opinoin....me and a frind were gettin changed by a neon one really snowy night and had a wrangler......we lost them in the neighborhood so many times.....never once did that Wrangler ever feel unsafe to me....I think they just got a bad wrap because too many nimrods that don't know their heads from a hole in the ground has flipped them all the time.

I'd keep the Bonneville. 1000 bucks well spent could bring her back into nice shape, with your buddy'* help.

Of course, if you REALLY want the Jeep, get the Jeep. Ask yourself why you REALLY want it. I read an article about consumerism once, and American Marketing has us, as a society, trained to become UNhappy with everything in our lives roughly every 21/2 years. Thats cars, houses, possesions, even relationships.

I think it will be cheaper, in the long run, to keep what you have. 97 isnt really old.
