Heehee...
Our youngest cat, Mickey, caught her first bird back in November.
I saw her skulking under the birdfeeder while there was a big crowd of sparrows, chickadees, juncoes, and goldfinches. She took this incredible LEAP right into the middle of this crowd and came down with a bird.
She somehow managed to pin to the ground the ONLY bluejay out there.
There was this pregnant pause, ten seconds of absolute silence, and then the blue jay exploded.
Mickey came in, half an hour later, after the bluejay let her out from under the porch.
She was bleeding, missing chunks of hair, and her whiskers were dragging the floor.
Ever since then, I haven't seen her even try to take a bird.

my cat is an indoor cat and he'* shown interest in our birds, but we have small parrots, they about the size of a cockatiel but thy have different body proportions, including a beak 4x bigger, they can break a human finger, a a declawed housecat has no business messing with that

If it wasn't for the new episodes of Battlestar Galactica and Stargate SG-1, I'd have been in bed two hours ago. As it is, I have to get up at 5 for work :( Oh well, off to bed I go... Have fun talking about birds, lol :P
