I WANT IT! I WANT IT! But hey, seriously, in theory if someone was able to harvest the star (which wouldn't happen-I know) wouldn't the price of diamonds dimish so much that (because of the supply and demand nature of diamonds) we would all be able to purchase diamonds like we do austrian crystal now?? just wondering.

Yep, but maybe there would be an increased demand for "extraterrestrial" diamond to keep the price up.

True. Even at that though, there would be so much to go around.

But the expense to get it would have to be tremendous and dangerous.

Diamonds aren't hard to get now... DeBeers just controls the supply. I'll never buy one.
