Default Bidpay

Anyone ever used this service? It'* like paypal,my sister is trying to buy a new car and the payer wants payment through BidPay. We are trying to make sure it'* legit, because the deal is real good, but don't want to lose out on a few grand. BTW- Anyone with a CarFax please PM me, I would love it if someone could check the VIN for me. Thanks.

Sigh...a lot of scams go thru on BidPay. Just be careful..thats all i can say. And if you suspect anything suspicious, dont go through. It'd be nice if u could post some screenshots. Id never buy a car off ebay anyway, always best in person and you can take it to a mechanic.

I've only used Bidpay a few times but I prefer Paypal for the protection it offers. Just beware!

It wasn't ebay, it was Yahoo! Autos. Apparently, a woman and her husband moved to Europe when he got a new job, they took their Honda Accord with them, and then once they got over there realized it wasn't legit because it'* left hand side drive. She'* shipping it into Boston on her own dime for us to pick up as soon as she recieves payment. I can believe that, but here'* what I can't: 3000 for a 03 Accord Coupe with only 52K on it and no mechanical problems. She says she needs to get rid of it asap. We saved the e-amils and are taking it to a lawyer tomorrow to see what we can do to protect ourselves. The woman went on to say that we would have 5 days to inspect the vehicle and if not to our standards we would be refunded. Too good to be true?

I think its BS. Back away. Or not...but its your own loss. If you do indeed lose that 3 grand you will be kicking your own *** for a while after that.

Default Watch out

A buddy of my was hit by a scam like that, he found a 69 challenger on ebay for 3000 fully redone to good to be true deal, they had phone conversations with this guy, over 100 pictures, and so fourth, the guy was supposedly overseas in europe and he would ship his car back to the us via the military, after the payment of 3000 went trhough paypal nothing ever showed up, the car was supposed to be dropped off right in his driveway, after about 1 month with no converstions the guy disappered, paypal was notified and the fraud department got involved, still in action 5 months later, just beware some people will make up alot of bs to scam.

Beware ANY oversees transactions. Most payment companies have issues themselves collecting overseas. If it'* for only small change most won't even fight for it. I would say look locally, or at least within a reasonable distance. If you leave the country our laws don't apply and they can walk away with your $$$ EASILY!!!!
