Default Best present today.

We have had a warm "Pineapple Express" change in the weather. It dryed out overnight and the roads were clear and dry with temps of 50 F.
The garage doors opened and out came the Bonne.

Cruised by the local Police station and counted every car in the lot...yup, they were all there.
Went for a speedy ride around town and then topped up the fuel tank.
There was a definite smell of burnt rubber when Victor and I retuned to tuck the Bullet back in the garage.

...and it was good.

Ha -nice!

It'* only been slightly above freezing with overcast skies here in central MN, but at least the snow/ice covered roads are mostly salty-sandy-water now. With the forecast showing daytime highs in the 30'* and low 40'* for the next 15 days the roads should be dry and semi-clean fairly soon.

I had time to go out and do some spirited driving today to find why my car feels like it'* falling on it'* face at around 4k -my freshly cleaned SC snout is covered with black specks of a new SC belt. WTF -A new .5" shorter belt, .3" smaller SC pulley, and .3" oversized tensioner pulley and I'm getting massive belt slippage. :( :? What'* a guy to do.

Maybe try using some belt dressing.
The colder temperatures will reduce the frictional grip of the belts on the pulleys.

An extreme fix would be to convert to wider belt and pulleys. Have you seen the belt width on the new GT500 SC engine. Sweet, even for a FORD.

Yeah, that GT500 belt looks to be about 2 inches wider than a Series I or II SC belt. Very mean car too.
