Best new car for 25,000 or under
This post certainly shows our various ages and current life stages...
I don't think I'd ever spend 25k on a car, but if I had it lying around the new G6 (Grand Am replacement) could be almost fully loaded (3.9L V-6, est. 250hp) for that price... although it might be a little small for us 4-door boat-lovin' folks. The "Panoramic Roof" option is pretty cool.

It'* like a dream come true. People talking about Chryslers and Mitsubishi'* (look at my sig) I would say that getting an EVO at $25k would be a great deal but a little underpriced. A hooked up EVO will sell for about $30k. They will, with light mods, pull mid 13'* all day long at the track. The stage 4, I think, Neon.* SRT-4'* will also sit in the low 14'* with some light mods. I would go with the AWD turbocharged EVO myself.
a friend of mine'* wife has an srt4 with the upgraded turbo package and a bov as his only other mod and its running 13.7 @ 100+... i also really really like Saturns new "Red Line" vehicle line: Ion and Vue

Hmm.... .... .... I dont know if $25k would be enough to by any car I want brand new. But this is what I would buy.
87-93 era fox body mustang gt
84-87 regal grand national
89 LeSabre T-Type
96 grand prix gtp w/ L67 swap
... Those are some of the cars on my list of whats next, Although with my love for cars its never ending. Im not much for newer cars though. Today cars seem to under perform in progression with the bodies getting uglier
