It was a good time all around.

RE: The door. I took it off the hinges on the door side. Big mistake because it required hella adjusting when we put the new one back on rather than taking the whole thing off at the door side. When I was looking at the bolts, it looked like the rear top bolt on the door side was going to require fender removal.. something I wasn't exactly in the mood to do. Pat'* former GM mechanic dad looked at what I was doing, shook his head, "Should've removed it from the door side. Have fun adjusting the door when you put it back on."

Best part of the whole weekend was the look I gave Morty when we had the new hood on his car and the other in the driveway.

Me: "ok..let'* get this one bolted back on to the junk car"
Morty: "uh..why do we have to do that?"
Me: "It has to get towed, therefore it needs to be bolted on"
Morty: "Can't we just put it inside the car?"
Me: Look of disgust "And how do we get the hood inside the car?"
Morty: Looks at car "Won't fit huh?"
