I have a friend.. she knows cars pretty well.. and she has a '99 3.1L Maxima. She has just heard my plans for the big bad bonnie, and she thinks she could beat me anyday. Now, I need to know what it will take to whoop her ***. She says it has 200,000 miles.. so the engine isn't exactly new, and it'* stock, and forever will be. I have the delco ignition, with accel coils, intake porting, header cleanup/porting, CAI, and high flow cat and flowmaster muffler. That is what is planned, and I only have the delco ignition. A full tune up will happen before I even think about turning the key after the porting. I have no clue of the specs of the Maxima, but I know its lighter than my big bad bonnie. Is this possible? And can I do with the planned projects I have?

1. Actually i believe the max is a 3.0L with 190hp.
2. The 5-speed has a 0-60 of 6.6 seconds.
3. Grow up. Trying to act hard towards a female will get you nowhere faster than her car will.

That'* why you shouldn't talk a lot of crap. She'* driving a mid 6 second car getting to 60 and you're driving a 10 second car. And with your transmission troubles you're probably more like 12 seconds. (so she could be twice as fast as you.)

I really wouldn't go racing too many people, the 80'* H bodies aren't very fast. :? (and yes, I owned one.)

Thanks for the positive re-informent that my car isn't very fast. She is pretty fast.. especially compared to my mom'* vdub, and dad'* 6.5L 96 suburban.

Well.. maybe, her tranny will die before mine, and I will have an advantage. loL

I know talking crap isn't good.. but we were joking around. I told her about the porting i'm doing, and she made a bet that my car will only run 4 months after I get her running, so I need to for
1.) prove that my car is bulletproof
2.) she is fast
3.) I know how to work on cars

Once I get that work done, I may as well go after her, because at least I will go down in style [windows down, AC/DC running through the speakers, and rubber laid down somewhere]. That'* all that matters.. classic pimpin' baby .
