You're right, RWD isn't that bad in winter. But F-bodies are.
I learned how to drive in pick-up trucks, and did a lot of RWD driving at the auction and various other jobs before I became a trucker. I've driven just about everything, in just about every weather condition, and F-bodies SUCK in snow.
Hondas may suck, but they're still decently reliable, and they're pretty good in snow. They make great beaters...

The nice thing about this car is that it'* so inconspicuous. The cops would never see you sneaking through traffic.

One THOUSAND horsepower. I suppose that'* right if every sticker is a 10 hp upgrade. Or maybe it was calculated by HP ratings advertised on his boxes of bolt-on speed parts...header, up to 20 HP increase; CAI, up to 11 hp increase; cow magnets, up to 5 HP increase...see there, already got 36 more ponies.

BTW, rear wheel drive is a whole lot more fun than FWD in the winter.

(And again, not dinging RWD in winter, just F-bodies. I personally prefer RWD in winter, mainly big cars though...)

Or you're trying to see how far into the dash your wife can dig her fingers. My gas mileage in my Silverado goes in the toilet (even further) when it snows. I just can't help playing in it.

But, yeah, Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, etc...all can be a handful in the snow. My 67 Camaro was the worst, it could get stuck on a flake of snow. Then, once it got moving was almost impossible to keep straight.

Regarding the comments in this thread I took a close look at a LT1 camaro this weekend at a little car show we had here....You guys are right....Its odd how a Front wheel drive (3800) car is easier to work on than a RWD car....I figured since it had a huge hood there would be a lot of room down there....um no.

So who knows....the Bravada needs LIM Gaskets as it is leaking some coolant externally (wtf?)

it needs minor front end work that I can handle.

Hell, even my old 77 camaro was a BIT CH to change the plugs on. It had REAL ESTATE under the hood in comparison to modern F'*.

You're looking for something reliable, but didn't you say the Bravada'* transmission was at the end of its rope? That would worry me.

ever thought about a 3.8 f-body? My friend has a 94 RS with the 3.8 with leather, t-tops, bose, and all the options. Its a really nice car, and would get better gas milage. Fairly quick too

A '94? '94s had the 3.4 SFI, L36 didn't show up until 1996.

Like Dahhhh In winter you need winter tires and with a truck, a few sandbags in the bed for weight.
....or buy a 4WD Jeep Cherokee 4 L inline 6. I have had one for 19 years and love it.
