He'* right. Streaming FTW!

What I'm doing with all of it is storing media. TV shows and movies in HD takes up a lot of space.

Yup Blu-ray movies alone take up anywhere from 8-15GB per movie. I have over 200 movies on my computer, imagine if all of them were blu-ray (only about 8-10 are)

I have almost 600 movies between my two computers. I'm replacing all the good ones with HD rips and deleting the ones that aren't worth updating. Tedious process.

Some shows I delete as I watch, some I keep.

I can't wait to get home and set up my RAID tower. Central file storage FTW!

What are your plans for the RAID tower? I've been playing with FreeNAS and it'* software RAID myself.

This enclosure. Gonna use it as a media server. All my Music/Movies/TV shows will be on it.

It'll go in my office, connected to my desktop. I'll be running the same thing I've been running on my HTPC, XBMC.

It'* great for playing stuff that'* been downloaded, now I just need to figure out what I want to use as my "DVR". WMC is ok, but I hate the layout.
