I had it. And I was recently 'forced' to upgrade to 2007.

2007 SUCKS. I don't use it too often though. Most of my design work is done in 3D.

I liked 2000 far better than I like 2007 fwiw.

second part of the question. Is it a huge program to run say bigger then PhotoShop cs3 ?

I ran AutoCAD 2003,4,5,6,7,8 so far. 2006 was the best in my opinion.

But mostly i do 3D work and that is all done in

CATIA V5 R17

I have used 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2005

Where I work uses 2002 so that what I have on my notebook (Which is use at work), my home computers I have 2004 for no reason

AutoCAD isn't too bad to learn, unless you start doing 3D and you haven't used a program like this before, it may be a little more difficult

We use a AutoCAD for all the 2D drawings, and we use Inventor for 3D

Learn Pro/E. More major companies use it. That and Catia.
