Autobahn package
as i have yet to find a decent Intrigue forum, and i cant stand clubgp, i come here...
basically i found out there was an autobahn package offered for the Intrigue...it consisted of H rated 225/60/16 tires, bigger brake rotors (by 25mm) and a 128mph speed limiter...
now about the only things in that package that interest me are the larger brake rotors..i dont know how much difference 25mm would make over mine but surely it would be some right?
to my next question...if i were to find a junkyard gem with the autobahn package, would i need any modifications or could i just slap the rotors on my car?

I think the autobahn package also included the 3.27 gear ratio. I could be wrong though.
As for the rotors I'm really not sure. whenever you upgrade to bigger brake hardware, you'd need new pads and calipers too wouldn't you?

well i suppose i could snag the calipers off of one with the autobahn package as well...but then again i dont know if the mounting hardware is the same...
further investigation says that the autobahn package also included a better brake booster, and special brake fluid...go figure
as for the 3.27(possibly 3.29 i cant recall)....i know its on all of the PCS equipped vehicles...but im sure not all of those are Autobahn equipped...so im not sure about that one.

well, the autobahn package is a performance package basically. That'* why the gear ratio would be grouped with that. The Aurora also had an autobahn package on the 95-99'*. It included no speed limiter at all, and a 3.73 ratio instead of the standard 3.49 ratio. I'd assume the Intrigue would be the same in that the autobahn package would include the higher gear ratio since it'* a performance oriented package. as for the PCS vehicles having the 3.27 ratio, it'* probably just coincidence. Most of the well packaged Intrigues that had the PCS probably also had the autobahn package.

Sounds like several Oldsmobiles built in the mid 90'* that had a variation of the Autobahn package. I am fortunate enough to have one of those on my seasonally retired Aurora.
Perhaps a google search may yield a find or 2?

my findings seem to show that the Autobahn package was only offered in 98 and 99...but that gm performance parts does still make a 12" rotor kit for the various w-bodies..but its like 200+ bucks...and i dont need to stop better that bad, it does just fine now...i would consider a swap from a junker though...but im not sure what all would have to be swapped.
and i found this as well http://www.clubgp.com/cgi-asp/mods.asp?modid=3

nope, Bonnevilles are H-bodies, or at least i know yours is, i think the 00+ may be a different body...G perhaps? but anyway there are several different options availble to you for new rotors and pads...i for one cant give you any advice but some members may chime in here or you could start another thread elsewhere.

Just buy the caliper brackets from any 2000+ Impala, use your existing calipers and install 12" (11.9" actually) rotors and you're good to go.
It'* an awesome upgrade from the 11" rotors
Cheers,
