So does that mean I can finally set up my underground radio station without getting in trouble?

What frequency? If it'* between 88 and 108MHZ, I don't care.

If it'* between 1-30, 50-54, 144-148, and 430-450 you better not.

Do you work for the FCC or something?

What would you call it? An ambassodor(sp) to the FCC. I think we are obligated (because we are licensed through the FCC) to report any illegal activities. For instance...

CB amplifiers
Other hams transmitting out of band(though we are suppose to police ourselves first)
Interference
Just to name a few of the good ones.

If I may suggest, the FCC is really starting to crack down on violators. Even trucking companies are getting heavily fined now.

I hope the Techs do run out and buy HF gear soon. Gotta improve the activity on HF! Can you imagine the possiblities when the cycle starts to improve, getting your WAS will be fast and easy LOL.

BTW, FWIW, I am a grandfathered General, Last VE session I just had to show where I was once a Novice, took the theory, and there I was.

Now I can start making more antenna'* to hook up to my 706. Don't have enough space on my tower to support a big beam, so I am stuck with dipoles and verticles.
