Athlon XP motherboards
Man, I had some baaad luck with a gigabyte board running an AMD. (Dual bios=crap). I replaced it with an ASUS dual board, RAN GREAT.
I think this is their current dual board. Insight Direct should have it, or should be able to get it (as well as anyone else)

I feel like such an idiot right now. Before even reading your post, I discovered my heatsink was indeed mounted 180 degrees from its intended position, and a lip wsa causing to not seat correctly. It has been that way since I got it over a year ago. I have had intermittent problems with it and couldn't figure out why. Before my previous post, I fixed it without knowing it.
I have never been able to get it to run at 133 FSB before, now it is just fine. And the CPU is about 39 degrees, used to be 60.

Abit NF7-* only 91 bucksat newegg.com (I've done mucho bussines with them very good company.) has very good onbord audio, nforce2 Serial ATA support for preaty much any XP processor, and 333/400 FSB support.
the other option would be the Asus A7n8x (many models)
These two have beem deemd preaty much the best motherboards for the XP processor by techimo.com'* message board peeps. (computer technology professionals for the most part, or people that are uber power users.)
