that makes me laugh. I use all 3 versions of Computers Apple is far superior then any computer I have ever used built or pc. Video graphics, photography nothing compares sorry bro. I am sure you make some good computers but its not an Apple. =) Another subject I started my Mac Pro yesturday after the installs and it took less than 15 secs to boot up (black screen to desktop) which I have never ever seen before. That thing runs ssooooo smooth.

I can find you the test if you'd like, but when installed on a mac, Windows XP actually runs a LOT quicker, showing the weaknesses of Mac OS X. You have NO upgrade options hardware wise, and you have to wait about a year after to get a mac port of a windows game. I guess people think it'* better with photoshop and all, but that'* what I don't get... Since Macs aren't available with some of PCs best graphics cards. In fact, they've always carried the LOWER end graphics cards. So, from a technical, hardware and software point of view, PCs are superior

I'll be back to post my sources...

Oh wow, it'* so revolutionary
Just a big FYI, we've had solid state hds for a few years, those graphics cards have been out for a year, and Xeons? heh, we've had those for about 4 years. Anything else "ground breaking"?

apple can run windows therefore windows games will work on a mac. But I use my mac for work not gaming. I will give you that though Games are more to come by for pc. Although if you like windows fine.... Run it on a Mac About the video cards
NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 512mb, stereo #d (2 x dual-link DVI) video card isnt a good one???? Although I do have the ATI Radeon X1900 XT in mine.

Albeit, those are nice specs, but I guess it'* more of a hobby for me than anything else. I can see if you were trained with macs (which most graphics pros/art directors are), you couldn't go back to PCs.

and btw, my dad'* a HUGE mac guy, so we have this argument every week or two

Haha yeah I understand there is a fine line macs have there pros pc have theirs but being a business owner in the graphic design business its seems to me that macs have more for me. By the way I work with PCs at my government job(I edit video) everyday and I go home and work there to on my mac doing the same stuff. Granted I have a dual 3.0 dual core 3gbs ram compared to a dual 3.8 3gb ram here at work. Once you go mac you never go back. Its a never ending arguement. =/

What'* so revolutionary about PCs though? Or Vista for that matter? Apple IS innovative/revolutionary, Microsoft...not so much.

lol

Vince, I like the sounds of your new Mac.

As for the RAM, I'll send you a PM. It would be for my company G5s. I'll ask my supervisor.
