Anyone here play any kind of instruments? For years I've been the typical air drummer and air guitarist. That is until last year when I got a Tama drum set. Been learning quite a bit on it. Then my girlfriend gets a bug up her *** and buys a used fretless Yamaha RBS 50 bass guitar(1995 Japanese model). She played it a couple times then set it in the corner(she prefers her Roland piano) Then I picked up the bass and tinkered with it, found some bass tabs online and surprisingly, I got the hang of it pretty quick.
I'm thinking my girlfriend may have gotten me a 5 string fretted bass guitar for xmas. We shall see.
A 5 string fretted bass, would be an awesome x-mas present Mike, I hope you do receive one.
I have a wicked custom 12 string acoustic, Larivee hand made from the early 90'*.
Ebony fret board, silver frets, shaller tuning *****. Thing sings & resonates forever!
Just like to jam popular classic 70'* 80'* took some lessons to begin learning triad chords.
I've got big fingers too & with the 12 it is a bit difficult to get the clearance sometimes, where notes are buzzing on z fret.
Fingies are grabbing 2 strings at once, so the pressure has to be accurate & up to speed LOL.
Just finished jamming for a few hours, way out of practice...
Got some Bob Segar time in as well as some Supertramp "Give a little bit" hacked.
I will put a cd on, pull out some sheet music, & giver a go.
Sometimes for practice I will use U-tube videos for more difficult stuff, the ole thumb pics come on..
ha ha...ya he does look like me ...But no, I only wish I could play that well.
Glad your fretted present arrived in colorful shape! Time to play it & practice!
Nice drum kit too, great pics Mike!
