I am a poor student. Im looking at the Cingular Go plan. Looks good. The only draw back is you have to buy a cingular phone. Anyone have one they want to sell me that works on that plan.( Im not even sure which phones work on the plan) And If you know something about the plan please let me know if you think its an ok deal. Ill use it very little if not at all. For safety ect. ( The family and all that.)
Thanks :?:
Thanks :?:
those phones are pretty pricey, you might try some electronics stores and places like Wal-Mart i know they have prepaid cell phones for about 40 bucks, but i dont think they are through, i believe theyre through T-mobile..and then you just buy a prepaid card or whatever....im not sure what makes these Go-Phones all that different really, i looked into them myself and i know that every dad you make or receive a call you get charged a dollar...so if you used it once every day youd have a 30 dollar bill in those charges alone, not to mention buying minutes...for 30 bucks a month you can get a regular ol' cell phone plan and usually a free phone...but i would understand if you didnt want the whole contract deal and whatnot.
Get a tracfone. Phones start at $40. If you are just going to use the phone a few times a month, and won't talk for hours, that'* what you want. If you get a super old phone [$5 on eBay {has to be a Tracfone though}], I have a few special button sequences for you [PM for].

Get talktracker pre-pay by US Cellular. $45 a month....fre incoming calls, free nights and weekends and 400 anytime minutes. Cant beat that with a stick. NO CREDIT CHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to get the phone activated your looking at $125 all together.
you can get a good phone off of ebay. If I had an extra one I'd send it to ya. My son makes sure we upgrade all the time and then we give away our old phones. I just gave away one recently.

Thank you so much. I have looked at alot of plans and I think the cingular go plan is the best for me. I will rarely use the phone. I wont be charged a monthy fee, and I have low cost mins if I have to use it. Now I just have to figure out what phone works on that plan so I don't have to buy theirs. Thanks for the kindsness sse14u24me!! What a MOM!!!!!!!!
You need to make sure your phone will work with their network. Be VERY specific. I know this from experience as a Cingular customer.
I have a Motorola V60T in great condition, beautiful red anodized cover (pic posted somewhere here with custom laser etching
), and It'* yours if you find out it'll work on their network.

Me too. At work we collect them and give them to a women'* shelter.
In turn they can carry and use for 911 calls if needed.
James, plans are pretty cheap out there right now for any provider.
Why would you want to Buy minutes every month. and even if you don't use them
the Time period runs out. and you have to buy more anyway.
I/we bought that for My Mom a while back and the time period would run out
before she could use them.
can you say family Plan......................
This is the phone:

Works great. Only used it for 4 months before I upgraded to GSM.

another thought would be similar to what Gumball said, do you have any friends who already have plans? usually you can add a line onto your plan for like 10-20 bucks, if your friend isnt much of a talker you could easily share the minutes...you might look into that too.
