Anyone know anything about Quad 4's here?

Depends on which one...Berettastuff is having problems with post ****** and people fighting from time to time...Beretta net is REALLY strict..just depends...Beretta net woudl probably be the best choice if you actually wanted to learn something useful

Are all of the Beretta 4 cyls with a manual trannsmission HO?
No. The HO was pretty much used only in the GTZ'* ..I think the other was a 2.2 5 speed..not sure...but im pretty positive

The Tech4 was not the same engine. It was a SOHC, not a DOHC.

I thought the Tech 4 was a pushrod engine???

But its definately a different engine. They have a LOT less power than the Quad 4'*. In 1990 the Tech 4 had 95hp IIRC whereas the HO Quad 4 had 180. In 91 the Tech 4 was still 95hp and the W41 version of the HO Quad 4 was available with 190hp....TWICE that of a Tech 4. And the Quad 4 is a 2.3L.

Well it seems as though the drivetrain of this car has been maintained pretty well. It has 184,600 on it, so it has a bit of miles, but it runs VERY well and doesn't smoke or anything, and it isn't using any coolant either...knock on wood. (knew it was a common problem so I've been watching it) It has a small oil leak, but I haven't investigated where yet, but its really small so I'm not really worried. It sat for 5 months before I bought it an was only 3/4 quart low, so its not a big leak.

All I really need is to get 190k out of it and then I'll get rid of it in the spring. 5k should easily cover the winter for me, I don't drive that much.
