Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Anyone interested in a experiment?

Have fun. Heck, we've all tried stuff similar to this once or twice. Just don't get your hopes up

well it wouldn't be picking up sound anyways. it would be radio frequency and cell phones are nowhere near the radio frequency of a keyless entry remote.

plus...why would you hold the phone right near the door? the radio reciever isn't in the door

what kinda idiot wrote that anyways?

I am wondering tho...if you had a two way radio... that was broadcasting at the same frequency as the remote when the button is pressed..im not SURE if the two way would amplify the frequency enough to do anything, but THAT might be worth a try...a cell phone is just dumb

thats true... maybe that could work..but I don't think the microphones and speakers on any cellphone/ two way are sensitive enough to those frequencies...or even CLOSE to that range to work. But hell, go ahead, you try it out and be disappointed when it doesn't work :P
