Ok so im looking at this hard drive of mine trying to figure out where the heck the magnet is. Pete, you mentioned something about a hammer??? lol Tell me where/how to get it out so its done by the time the weekend gets here.

Screw drivers also work... treat it like a car. Remove one screw/bolt at a time.

I didn't start the Fake Canadian thing. I think it was Tracy.

Pete pulls up with Canadian plates. Peter G was already at the meet with Canadian plates. Around here many of us associate you to your car. Why wouldn't people think someone getting out of a car with Canadian plates wasn't Canadian?

Plus..just look at him.. he'* usually pimped out and spiking the hair. Then he slept in the hallway.

Funny stuff, I must say.

You will probably neex Torx and Safety Torx bits to get a hard drive apart the "right way". Start with the cover, of course, and look under every stinkin' label. From there you'll be able ti figure out why the other screws refuse to budge

Once you're inside, the big magnets are attached to the head armature. They are kind of crescent shaped.
