For your sake I hope you got it, but didn't show any symptoms, it'* possible. The older you are the higher risk for complications if you do get it.

I get a flu shot every year as well and don't have many days that I'm sick. The shot only covers three different strains of influenza. There are still all kinds of other bugs going around that the flu shot won't help with.
