Default Anyone crash a hard drive lately?

I was just wondering if anyone has crashed their hard drive lately? I crashed mine about 6 months ago and spent a goos month researching options on how to save the data without losing my projects and pictures. I ended up going with this company Runtime Software as their system did what I needed, and looked like it was the easiest to use. I got their product and tried it out and it worked great. i was able to save all of my data which was previously unreadable (even as a slave drive). I only bring this up now because I had a friend and on of the guys i work with have the same thing happen to them and they used this program as well. I'm not trying to shamelessly plug them, but more stating that I have used them and they work really well for this.

yeah... after that I looked into getting a raid setup, but I am broke (see sig) so I did the next best thing... setup another computer... I have 2 computers running and 2 more that I use as backups. If I have something really importand I back it up on 2 other computers. Currently though I use one for games and music, one for work and internet and one is the server in my apartment... It'* my ghetto Raid setup.
