Well, you did say that the inner ear and mouth are connected so theorically, he could put the air nozzle in his mouth and the sinuses will pressurize. And following a proven law, "High pressure will go to Low pressures." POP, that should clear it up

That ear candling thing is interesting. I've tried it but it kinda scares me as the paper burns down and you snip it off. I'm always scared it will fall onto my hair. That would not be a good thing!!!

Now, if we could actually help with the problem.....
I know warm fluids help me out a lot (cofeee, cocoa, tea). Seems to loosen stuff up....
