Identifying the specific car at that range is nearly impossible, tho, unless it'* the only one there.

And, a nifty fact, a lot of police will leave thier radar on even when they aren't actively looking for speeders. Everyone'* detectors going off helps keep the pack under control. And some of us thought it was fun to just hit the radar and watch all the pretty brake lights...
