My first reaction..................how can I fit a series 2 engine into Bill'* back pack!

He had too many tools for anything to fit!

We don't have U-pull-its here in Ontario except for a couple of special days in the summer in a yard near Scarborough.

I only wish it wasn't Canadian weather the day I went....friggen cold and wet........It even tried to snow I think!

When I was a kid I went to this junkyard with my dad and remember this suburban that had rolled and there was blood everywhere inside.

On my first trip to the junkyard - I was 12 - I found exactly what i needed and these guys even let me take it off. I kept going back there and ended up working there when I turned 16. 10 years later I was the owner of my own yard which I sold and now just live - quite comfortably - off the interest of what I made there.

Many states have laws about the sale of cars on fatalities - the cars must be destroyed. Some states don't though.

"Well, thank goodness that minivan fell off the other minivan AWAY from me." My second thought was, "Crud, I'm going to have to get up there and somehow open the door of a minivan laying on it'* side in order climb down inside and get my toolbox out from under it. Glad I heard the glass break."

"I wonder how many badass engines I could whip up using all of the parts here?"

Never mind any lives lost, people walking away, etc... Can I build something?

I've often wanted to have ownership over a loaded JY. That way I COULD do what I want to do...

I went to get a blower motor for my lumina. I remember feeling kind of bad for the guy that had to go climb up into a car that was on top of another car, contort himself upside down and pull it out for me (we don't have u-pull it yards here). But at the same time I was glad I didn't have to do it!

I'm with the "Wow" crowd!

Some of the cars I saw in my youth, I wondered why there were there in the first place, intact metal, all 4 wheels, mostly complete, but with writing on the windows what was bad, engine, trans, etc. Seemed a waste to me.

Most thrilling find that I couldnt take with me (out of many) 87 GTA, all straight and rust free, just seriously abused and neglected. Engine already pulled, doors left open and rained into what was still a mostly complete interior. Sad. This was about 5 years ago.

I watch for snakes very closely also
