Default Another basic safe driving reminder (leaf piles)

Twice this week, I saw neigborhood kids playing in BIG leaf piles in the street. I know its a no brainer thing, but since its fall, a reminder never hurts. You dont know what could be hiding in them.

or you can be mature, and not play in them

Make sure your kids play in FRESHLY raked leaves.. this way you know they aren't contaminated.. oh yeah, and keep it on your lawn .

Yep. That'* not uncommon...especially in Livonia! They can do some serious damage if someone blows through the pile of leaves!!

same thing with snow banks folks, heard of that too often, people playin around in parking lots, decide to drive through a snow bank thats either frozen solid, or is is hiding a big nasty curb...kinda like walking across a busy highway with your eyes closed....

about a month ago here in Ma. a man came home from work in his pickup
and drove in were he usually parks. were he parks was a pile of leaves
he just thought was raked there. what was inside the pile was his daughter
and a neighbor girl playing. when he drove in it was getting dark and he thought
he just hit a curb.

Yeah... My friend from Chicago was commenting about putting cinderblocks in leave piles. Doesn't sound fun if you hit one. He is also should be the poster child for this comment:

Last winter he tried to cross a snowbank to get out of a parking lot in his 99 Tahoe. Didn't realize that inside the snow pile was a 3 foot deep ditch... Good thing we knew more people with trucks...
