Come on man crumbling up the flag is alot better than keeping it under the mexican flag and your not going to go threw the whole process in folding it right there. Plus that man had LOTS of respect for that flag, he was putting his life in front of it to protect it from them. Crumbling up the america flag in time of distress is not disrespectfully.

Fair enough. I still can't believe someone would have balls enough to fly another countries flag above the one for the country they are living and doing business in....

I admire the old fart. That took guts.

Fly whatever flag you want on US soil. But if it'* flying with an american flag, it better be below it, or on another pole lower than the US flag.
Federal law? Really? I find that hard to believe because its not illegal to burn the flag.

Just seems weird that you can burn the flag, but not fly it under a different nation'* flag.
You burn the flag for a reason because it was mistreated or hit the ground, or your a terrorist trying to symbolize something.

Here in Texas, since the State was originally a Republic, along with various other reasons, when Texas joined the US, it was allowed to fly its flag at equal mast. We cannot however, fly it above the stars and stripes.

But is it not a symbol of protest when an American burns it? That'* protected by the first amendment.

I should have phrased it a little different.

I am a proud Canadian living in Texas. I don't fly the Canadian flag here because I feel its a sign of respect to fly only the flags of the country and state I live in.

Opinions are like azzholes, everybody has one. By the way, its DPnewfie not newfie.
