Woah. He'* lucky it was the kind of trailor it was. The sides looked rather flimsy like they should open.

I remember hearing about this when it happened. He was lucky about the softsided trailer and the relatively light cargo.

They do. It'* called a curtain side. It has a row of ratchet straps across the bottom to pull it tight vertically. Undo those, and the entire side slide over, like a curtain.
