Default Almost A Wreck

Well apparantley some people do not know how to tie down gigantic pieces of wood that are around 12 feet long and about a foot wide.

A pickup was carrying about a dozen of these planks of wood and he had them running from the tailgate sticking out over the roof of his cab into the wind. Flat, non, aerodynamic pieces of wood strapped down with bungie cords. I was trying to get over because I just didn't like following him and hung back a little bit. Sure enough I hear crack and one of the planks snapped in two and came flying out of his truck straight at my windshield. I swerved and barely missed it and sped up alongside the pickup. Beeped my horn at him and he shrugged his shoulders!!!

Thank god I have quick reaction time because that would have been messy. It was coming straight at the windshield and I had my two buddies in the car. Scary.

Did you call the cops? Usually when I see somebody doing something that stupid and dangerous, and they ignore my warnings, I back off, tail them and call the cops...I've seen a few people catch things that fall off trucks like that. It never ends well.

No I didn't have my cell phone on me...go figure. Never around when I need it which is why I got it. Just annoyed he did not even seem to care and just kept on going. I cut off onto my exit and continued back home.

At least no one got hurt but it could have caused a bad accident.
