4T45-E
Dropping the pan to change some fluid..how many quarts?
Reusable gasket?
Anyone know?

Fluid Capacities:
4T40/4T45

Bottom Pan Removal - 6.5 liters (6.9 quarts)
Complete Overhaul - 9.0 liters (9.5 quarts)
Dry - 12.2 liters (12.9 quarts)

Quote from the installation procedure:
"2. Install the oil pan gasket. Install a new gasket if the sealing ribs are damaged."

judging from that info id say the gasket is reusable

ps just a fyi, the torque spec on the fluid pan bolts is 14Nm (124 inch lbs.)

My ghetto-fixer dad wound up measuring fluid siphoned out of the dipstick hole. Doesn't get potential chit out from the bottom of the pan and it doesn't take care of the filter, but new fluid does get in there... not ideal, but it works.
