I think I am going to ask my friends dad to let my practice a little more on his F-250. IT would be good for me. And he'* nice so he probably would work with me more.

If you want a good practice exercise using the pick-up, try parking on a very slight up-hill in a parking lot, then get the truck going up through the gears without using the gas.
If you can get it up to third without touching the accelerator, you can drive any stick without hurting it.
