Default Acura TL copycat

Is it me or does the new Acura TL look a bit like a 2000+ Bonneville? The first time I saw the commercial for the TL I knew it looked like a Bonne. The healights are VERY similar. I would not be surprised if they got inspiration (stole them) from the Bonneville.

EDIT:

In fact, if you take the middle part of the tails off the Bonne, the Acura TL looks even more like the Bonne.

Honda'* version !?!?

The TL is the European version of the accord, thats sportier, so they brought it to america under the acura name while we get that ugly, chunky looking thing....

Those headlights aren't new...

American cars have more style - the others borrow it from us.

Exactly.

Not that all imports are blah and un-inspiring, but I've always felt a lot are (usually sedans)

Hhhhooo you callin' Yank, Yank?!?

But, yeah, they are older than many think. But they did totally redesign, I think, to look more like American cars. Designers go where the market goes. Thus, the Toyota Tundra'* starting to look more like an F-150, or Ram.

For instance, in '94, I owned an '86 Acura Legend. For many years, they didn't change, until the markets started leaning towards American, then their designs mysteriously changed.
