All great cars, but I would feel more confortable modding a 3800.

Considering the Maxima was made to be a comfortable sport ride from practice to practice, and the GTP from track to track, I have to choose the GTP. The Accord comes close to the Maxima in my books, but with less build quality than the Nissan. The GTP has its fair share of failures, and things to watch out for, but id never want to buy a tin can that pops after parking the car from the expanding 1/10" aluminum covering the chassis. My vote goes to the GTP. Although biased, fair in itself enough the stock accord manual outruns the GTP, and the Maxima is about the same.

The Accord AND Maxima are both built and pretty much designed for the USA. Japan & Europe'* Accord is equivalent to our Acura TSX.

The GTP has alot more capability in the long run. It'* more mod-friendly. That SC opens up EASY mods.
I believe the VQ35 in the Maxima opens up on mods pretty well, too But then again, you can just turn up the boost in the GTP

Personally, I'd go with none of them if I had more choices in that class, but if it was one of those three, I'd probably go Accord.

Just what I was going to say. Put $300 into the GTP, then $300 into the Maxima, and see which has more hp and tq, along with the relative comfort of the GTP.

The max has a nice fit and finish...and its faster bone stock...are talkin modified or fresh off the lot?

GTP lost a lot of points with a sub par interior...but..whatever werx for ya.

It'* a really close call for me. In fact, so close, I might say something else on a different day. My best friend'* GTP doesn't seem that cheap in the interior. And I love the dual climate controls. In fact, mine rattles and shimmies, whereas his doesn't at all. Now I haven't seen the interior of the Maxima, so my opinion is nominal.

I had one of the ***** in my uncles GTP fall into my hands when I turned up the heat...I mean...come on, its a 2002 GTP Special Edition...that kinda sealed the deal for me not liking Grand Prix interiors.

The 2004 GP interior is FAR improved
