So this suks.

It was at a two lane street that forks into two single lanes. I was in the right lane taking the fork right. A guy in the left lane was slowing down real fast out of nowhere right before the turn. Turns out there was another car infront of him that slowed down and decided to take the fork right at the last possible second over the solid lines right before a curb median.

So, that guy cut right in front of me out of no where going slowwww.. I swerve around him to the left as best as I could because there is only so much room.. he either didn't turn enough or something because his car hit my two passenger doors.

On my car the rear pass door is dented pretty bad and the front door is a little messed up.. And the moldings are beat.

His car'* fender is dented..

The guy called the cops and we filed a report.

Fourtunatly, my one buddy was right there in another car because we were coming home from eating and was included in the report. He saw the whole thing.

The other guy was alone.

Hopefully I don't get screwed with the insurance companies.. I don't have collision so I would have to file a claim with the other guys insurance company. And I know they aren't trying to pay. I just hope they find him at fault..

Man this just blowwsssss. This car was just too nice lookin..

Coulda been worse.. could have been the 1/4..

I just gotta find 2 black doors at the junk yard.. I have the moldings from my old car.

That'll come after the adjuster.

Well I'm hoping since his front side hit my rear side I'll be in the right.

Well the guy did cut him off suddenly, crossing over the solid line....VERY illegal.

Did anyone receive a ticket at the scene?

It'* sort of hard to tell from the description given, but from the sound of it you would have been better off to T-bone him instead of swerve. I had a car cross in front of me like that and I swerved to miss it and hit a curb. It didn't hurt the bodywork but the front end was never the same. The car took off, and I was left on the side of the road with no witnesses. The cop that worked the accident told me I would have been better off insurance-wise to hit the other car since the other driver was at fault.

Yeah it'* a little hard to explain..

The guy came from the left and went infront of me going like 5 mph.

I swerved to the left instead of plowing right into him. But, I had to get back in front of him because there wasn't enough room to go straight. I would have went into an opposing lane if I went straight.

This was all while turning to the right on a fork. So, he banged into my car as I was going around him.

Sounds like the other guy made a improper lane change

Definitely mention that he went over a solid line, and that he slowed traffic. Have your friend mention that he went into your lane and you made evasive actions to keep from him hitting you. Choose your words carefully when you make your statement. Avoid words that imply you were going fast, or that you hit him. Always say stuff like, "I tried to avoid him colliding with me," or to that effect. Mention you were at the same speed as the guy to your right, who had to suddenly slow down to accommodate this guy, and you weren't able to slow down enough before he illegally merged into your lane.
