Default 95 Taurus coolant in exaust

Hello all,
I havn't been around in a while, but a buddy of mine picked up a 95 ford taurus with the 3.8 L for dirt cheap, so now we are trying to get all the problems solved. We have everything working well except for it is leaking coolent fron under the engine (my guess is out of the head gasket) and a good amount out of the exaust pipe. Are the 95 Taurus'* prone to upper intake manifold problems, perhaps just the head gasket. Could it be the lower intake manifold. I can do the head gasket, and upper intake easily enough, but i know nothing about the low. Thanks in advance for the advice.

This is in the wrong area, and It is most likely a head gaskets. Ford 3.8'* are known for eating head gaskets.

Please don't post mechanical problems for other types of cars (other than H, C, and W bodies powered by the Buick 3800 or Shortstar/Northstar) in our Mechanical sections.

Moving to the Lounge for you.

Like william said, the Ford 3.8s are notorious for blowing head gaskets.
