Default 850 HP Cavalier

I got a cavalier brochure today and in the back of it is chevys front wheel drive drag racer with an 850hp 4 banger in it. How the hell is that possible. If chevy can get 850 hp out of a 4 banger than we should be able to get 1000 hp out of our 3800s. If you dont believe me go to you local dealer and get the brochure. I wonder what FWD trans thier running to hold up to that 850 HP. Damn thats got to be a rush to drive!!

Now if they can get over 700 hp out of an ecotec, what do you think they could get out of a 3800 V6? Oh baby I would love to find out!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure you could get 1000hp out of a 3800.

If you spent tens - maybe hundreds - of thousands of dollars.
If you did a whole lot of engineering work.
If you changed so much out of the engine over stock, you'd wonder if it'* still a 3800.

Not surprising. Ever see the size of those turbos on drag cars?
As for transmission, its probably a (Damn, brain fart!) direct something or other, in other words theres only one gear.
