Actually we're being invaded by beetles. It'* damn annoying walking down the hill from campus, getting pelted by these wanna be lady bugs. Most people in MN call them asian beetles. These bastards bite...

I've got to admit that one advantage of the move down to Phoenix is the lack of flying insects. There aren't near as many as in Iowa.

:

I do believe that he did count all the bugs on his jammies.... :P

As far as bugs go, we sure get our share here in Florida. It'* currently nearing the end of Love Bug season. Love bugs are these smallish (about 3/8") innocent bugs that don't sting or bite or fly up your nose. They just fly around in male/female pairs, joined by their mating parts, in giant clouds that you have to drive through.

The biggest problem, besides drunkenly wondering how to remove thousands of bugs' guts off your windshield at 1:00 am so that you can see to drive home, is that their guts are corrosive to auto paint and if not removed by very regular washing, will permanently damage your paint.

I'm pretty sure that I would be practicing centipedicide on a regular basis if they were in my basement......yuck...
