Default 24 hr virus,

Ugh, got up yesterday morning to find I felt like I was dying. At first I thought it was something I ate, but I about got so bad I was thinking about going to the hospital, I went in to work feeling like hell, but I managed to stay all day and tough it out A lot of people told me to drink cranbarry juice, I did and i still felt like **** I found myself dozing off every once in awhile, good thing I have understanding co-workers (who more than likely passed it to me anyhow )

I don't know what it is but, I've been sick at least 3 times this year (and I never get sick) I'm the kind of person who will not take any kind of medicine I'll ride it out no matter how much it hurts (you may think that'* crazy) thank goodness it was just a 24hr bug I may have got it from my daughter cause the old ladie and I had it the same time. I still have a slight headache though, hopefully I'll be fine by the time I go to work.

me having the good immune system whenever I do get sick it'* ugly I feel like dying insted of dealing with the pain, and I still will not take any pills

Good man! Just remember, sometimes you have to take a pill. I never take pills either(except for allergies). Them pills ain't good for ya(even though I was recently taking an antibiotic for a nasty gut infection). Just sit back, take 'er easy, and laugh at those people who are running for pills when they even THINK they are going to have something(headache/heartburn/gonnorrhea/whatever). I have faith in ya!

Take this for medicine. Alcohol is a disinfectant. It kills bacteria things. Beer has alcohol. Drink beer.

Nope...the best cure for any stomach virus is Pepto Bismol. It coats your stomach and the bismut starves the virus from growing due to lack of oxygen. Many years ago, I got very sick from a virus I caught in New Delhi, India. Upon my return, I was sick for six weeks, could not hold any food. Due to being a company business trip, I was seeing the company doctor. They were ready to gut me open to find out the problem since all the medication failed to help. So, I went to a doctor that specializes on travel medicine and he said to take 3 doses for 3 days of Pepto Bismol; if I did not get better, then it was to the operating room.

Well, after the first day, I started to feel better adn by the 3rd day, all symptomshad dissapeared. So, everytime I travel, the first item that goes in my bag is the big hot pink bottle. When I arrive to a country that I know I may be at risk, I take a dose upon arrival and every 3rd day and have not experienced any problems. On the other hand, others that have traveled with me, have got sick eating the same stuff as I did in the trip.

We had a company President that had to retire due to a virus she got during a business trip to China. She got very ill and lost over 80 lbs. in 3 months. She took at medical leave and after 8 months on medical leave, she had to quit and take an early retirement due to effects of the virus.
