They did. Saturn officially died when Penske withdrew it'* bid for it. Production has halted altogether as of Oct 1st. Dealers will close their doors in Oct 2010/or when current models sell out. Saturn owners will then have the remainder of their warranties covered at any other GM brand. Penske was negotiating for the Renault Group/France as an American Company that wouldn't have such tight restrictions. Renault thought it a good way into the American production scheme where Toyoata and Honda have been succesful, but they got cold feet when the final cash figures tallied up. Saturns dead.
