I gave the CTS-V old guy the Thumbs up
He was happy he got the thumbs up and I was happy seeing what his car can do.Damn the rotors on that thing were as big as dinner plates. Old Guys in Ferraris or Porches never show what their car can do. They just use them to get young blonde chicks cause their old.

I'd say the auto and manual would be pretty even overall.
Agreed. Auto/Manual would probably be neck and neck for the typical driver, but someone who really knows what they're doing would probably get better results from the extra pedal and snick-snicking through the gears.

this hurts gas mileage though
no person can shift as fast as a properly tuned automatic, no one. alot of cars delay the shift to add comfort, which is why i say properly tuned auto.
from seeing the best times on ls1gto.com, the very fastest stick gto is only .2 faster in the 1/4 than the fastest auto (stock cars) overall the auto'* are faster. the auto gto'* also have a TON more torque managment. so stock for stock both with tunes done, the auto gto is faster, gm just de-tuned them abit to keep down warranty work
guys have gotten 30hp, 40tq increase from just dyno tunes, they're just now realesing the tunning software in beta form (20hp 30tq seems to be the average increase, but there'* room for improvment)

YOu just need skill in putting it down.
