I agree with Russ on this.. Tamara'* mom has a 96 Grand Am.. and is it a PITA to work on and a POS.. that thing has went thru 2 head gaskets whole new brake system.. and may need calipers again now.. radiator.. sending unit.. 3 water pump.. and now there'* a coolant issue yet again.. OH god you have just as much room to work on that car as you would in a miini van. ( but at least in most mini van.. you can access the back of the engine thru the interior )

Do a autotrader search. Unless you don't mind the drive to Huntsville.. There'* a shop who sells cars on the side.. thats where we got Tamara'* "Crime of the Century" that TrueWildman has now ( and dubbed "Nevermore" ). You pay for the auction admission fee for the guy +$1000 commission.. and you get @ dealers cost @ the auction.. only bummer part is he'* place is in Huntsville and you can't check out the car before cause it'* a dealer auction.

A svt contour has got just a 2.5 Dohc v6 worth about a 15.5 in the 1/4 stock so i heard they are crammed in those bodies compare it to a 3.1 multi-port stuffed in a berretta??
