makes me glad i live in Michigan, cause the trailer i live in would be TOAST!!!
In 04 iit stood up to reported 120+ mph gusts... I heard the highest reported was 127 mph...
All of the Manufactured home Built from 94 on here in the are sustained no real damage... All of the neighbors I can see did fine, no issues from the storm...
The people on the other side that live in the Older units had some Damage to their homes that had to be fixed... I believe one of them was gutted and redone...
I have stayed for storms that run up around 100 MPH.... Anything more than that I pack up and go...
One of my neighbors stayed for the storm, and said the homes did good... They have tie downs ( 8 ft deep ) that run about every 6 ft or so all around the permeter of the home... I asked if it felt stable, and he said it was, the home sttod its ground fine... At the same time we are not in a flood plain either... we are actually higher than the requirements per county code... And these properties physically sit higher than the adjacent properties a road over... Odd how thats works out...
I was also here for another weaker storm, 60-90 mph winds.... Electric never went out
