Its a $2500 death trap...I had a friend who had an 85 and it was a scary little car, fast...but freaky.
We have a member that dropped a 3800 into a Fiero
I spent $2500 on my car, so $2500 for an 85 Fiero is a bit high...IMHO

don't buy it. It might be a good deal if it was $1,600 LESS! Those are bad for reliablility, and the engine dosen't produce that much hp. Save your money
My teacher at my College bought a kit to put a 3800 engine in it. he put the SC SSEi engine out of a 96. Its fast as hell and it can jump the front off the ground a good 2 feet. If you were willing to MOD it like this I would say hell yes!
If you're looking for a little car to mod, a Fiero can be a fun one to do it to. When my tranny went in my Olds I sold it to a friend, we pulled the engine(3.5 V6), turned it around and put it in his Fiero. A huge difference compared to the 2.6 it had! His brothers both have Fiero'*, one has a V8 and the other has a 3800 II,both of them scream.
What size 8? because me and my buddy barely got the 3800II in it..... Oh wait yeah ours has a SC and when it shifts it almost hits the glass even though we moved the hatch back 2 or 3 inches. its a tight fit. :?
I don't remember but I do remember counting two additional spark plug wires than his brothers.
I totally agree. Only buy the car if you need a second vehicle and more bills.
